How many more cases like this do we need?

Don't think the vertical mount hard drives are a very good idea, it would be a nightmare for me routing the SATA power cables with the Corsair HX cables (designed for horizontal drives, and even then it's not easy if the drives are close together).

Exactly what I thought when I saw it.

Hmm, Fractal do tend to play it safe when it comes to design, but the quality is usually very good and it makes business sense for companies to have options for multiple form facctors and at different price points.

The beige box is dead, long live the black box.

True enough. I actually have an R3 because I like the minimalist design of it but it's just a little hard to get excited about cases these days - there is very little innovation and they tend to be the very similar.

I have an R3 for the same reason. I agree though, especially in the ATX mid-tower segment, the market is fairly static and has been for some time.

    Bland, the new Beige.

I know cheap and stylish/interesting is hard to achieve ( or achieve well- lot of interesting cheap cases around by no-name brands, but they leave a lot to be desired internally- may be not an issue if the system is not going to move once built ), but the number of boring black cases with zero design flair is too damn high...
