Since added mid front support for the shelf & made a lightweight mobile 1m wide 700mm tall 250mm deep K&M desk so I can position it for the 27" or the 40", seems I prefer sitting on my bum while operating the pc.

That's really nice, I like that set up a lot. G27 is a fantastic wheel which I read quote that all of the iracing champions swear by them even today.

Did some re-jigging in my "game room":

Switched back to portrait Surround and moved the case to be on top of the desk. This has freed up space to move other things in the room to give an illusion of more room.

My Retro corner has also become a home for my second PS4 & Xbone. I play quite a lot of co-op with the Mrs hence having two of each. I have the system setup so I can simply pull out one of my other retro consoles out of the cupboard and plug it straight in. I hate seeing cables to this was a perfect compromise between having them all plugged in and not being able to play any of them.

    Quite happy overall. :)

Time for a thread revival now that I've put together my new desk and have migrated my computer over to it:

Next step will be to get a new chair, then in the new year it'll be time for a full system rebuild to go with a monitor upgrade for a 34" ultrawide.
Thinking of going for a white S340 to compliment the desk.

Cleaned my apartment during the weekend, which is basically just my desk and TV (+bed).

Upper row of displays are for my laptop which is docked and sits on the shelf. Three main displays for my PC, the fourth display on the left is attached to my PC with DVI and there is free VGA cable, which is currently attached to the Apple xServe on top of the rack. I mainly use that screen when I am doing some initial configs to machines or just trifling with some random stuff like now. All displays are Dell 2007FPs (20" 1600x1200), bought as used, prices varying from 40-60 euros (cheap pixels and the best aspect ration)

Speakers are Genelec 8030s, they're set quite far apart from each other so it isn't so optimal, but the best I can do with current setup.

The rack holds my switch that runs my small network (there is also a router bolted under the table that is my gateway and wireless AP), 2U Server case that is the future home of my home-server, but is currently empty. The first 4U case (from the top) is my current file-server, running 24/7, power led is disconnected because I don't want it to be on during night. Second 4U case is my PC, running my i7 2600K + two GTX560TIs with few SSDs and 16GBs of RAM. At the bottom there is some random Cisco equipment, probably going to throw them away since I am completing my CCNA certificate soon and I need to upgrade my setup for CCNP. I really didn't have complete lab for CCNA at home since I've had access to my Uni's networking lab, but that wont be the case anymore when I have the time to start CCNP.

Half of the wires are just a complete mess (mostly due added displays), going to fix that when I move to new location after graduating from Uni next spring.

Desk and rack/cube-thing is self made, used Ikea Stolmen poles to setup the plywood shelves and background for mounting the displays.

Looking forward to get a good deal from 30" 2560x1600 display (Dell or HP) so I can run it with one 2007FP on the side. That's probably the biggest visible upgrade that I am planning to do. pFsense router and some small, less visible things happening soon'ish too.

I'll be happy with this as soon as I get the TV on the wall, a proper projector and some acoustic stuff on the back wall.
