After deciding not to mount the MB on the outside of the case I went ahead and cut a window in the right side of the case.

The window is 5mm smaller than the MB to help hide some wires, although when viewed from an angle you will still see them, so will need some walls building around the tray.

Fit the CPU block and some fittings so I could see how far they would sickout from the case.

I was going to have the water tubing going over the MB and behind the side panel but decided it would look better going in a straight line to the 2 holes shown, I just need to find a nice way to attach
the fitting to the holes and still be able to remove the side panel.

Started the long process of hand cutting some stencils for the airbrush work.

Cut a new front panel, its a bit rough looking as I had to use my drill for most of it but
cleaned up nicely with some files and sandpaper.

Holes here are cut for the fan controller, as I want to hide most of the controller and have the front as
clean looking as possible, taped over part of it to block the paint so the controllers display can still be seen.

This is the second cut as the 1st was a bit rushed becasue I just see how it would look.

    undercoat done.

Quick update before the weekend, Black base coat now on the case and looking slightly less mat
than I was hoping but I will see how it looks when I start the top coat.
I know the case was black to start with but this black base was needed for the next stage and
    its also a lot smoother.
plan is to have the top coat gloss but keep the black as mat looking as I can so the final coat should pop-out if all goes to plan :worried:

Also tested the lighting for the internal circuit design I recently finished painting, so far so good.

wont be long as we only have just over a week to complete :worried:

Started to add some colour to the case now, candy gloss red to stand out from the mat black.

Most of the outer paintwork is now complete, just need to sort the front and possibly the top.
Camera not picking out the texture very well, but then again I have been using my phone :wallbash:

I will be sure to take the final shots with my camera and maybe do a quick vid.

Did you make a big mask for over the case and then painted it?

Thanks, I needed to start using my paints a bit more :)

No, lots of smaller ones, then I could re-use most of them. photos above show what I mean
and I will upload some more by the weekend.

    Thank you Mic :)

Thanks! here are some more for you :D

On the front I want to add a Thermaltake logo to replace the one I removed and also the build name Virtual.

Have to cut just deep enough as to not cut all the way though the backing.

Then when pealing, the backing will stay intact :D

This was my 1st attempt at the Virtual logo, I used some paint thinners to make the paint look embossed.
however, I decided to do this to the Thermaltake logo instead, as it looks too overpowering because its big and red.
the virtual logo is less than half the size, so I will do that in red.

Rads with the added red lines to match up with some other parts.

Screws for the RES's, pump base and power button all red. want to try keep everything black or red where possible.

Making some covers for the inside, RADs, I did them in red plexi but not happy with the red as its a lot paler than the other parts.
So im going to be painting them and I will update once complete...

Ok, sticking with the RAD covers, I painted them red and black but again wasn't too happy with the
design so I did them again :wallbash:

the one with the black was the design I wanted to redo and slightliy change so the red line was on the
    outer edges.

and this is the final design I'm sticking with as time is running out!

I have finished the CPU loop but need more fittings to complete the GPU loop, should arrive Monday :worried:.
I never planned to have two loops but as I din't order the parts originally I have basically just been doing stuff with no real plan lol

Again, sorry for the misty photos I keep snapping with my phone. I promise to get some better detailed shots up when its completed and then I can relax :cooldude:

I'm repainting most of the logos and other bits on the build that are white or clash with the red n black theme.

bit tricky and I need plenty of tea to steady my hands lol but very happy with the RAM, and most the other parts I've done so far.

At this very moment im working on the PSU cover and some others to hide the workings a bit better.
they will all be covered with some leftover leather from the last build.

Don't be shy, drop a comment as this is the very 1st "case mod" I have posted online for almost 16 years so im happy to hear your thoughts on the progress :dremel:

P.S, let me know if any photos don't look to be working, as some show as broken for me yet they return sometimes when I refresh the page.

here's a quick look at the left side, still need to sort the GPU loop, fix the lighting and add some covers.

This is the ASUS WIFI adapter/antenna, hell might as well add some red to it lol
Im using the built in magnet to attach it to the back of the case.

front almost complete so I did a light test.
