I hear that they're passing off some fraud as the president as well:

One month in with "everyone" and their pet caught up in the drama, they better start pace themselves a bit better else they're gonna burn out before the end of this year.

To be fair the WTO is pretty bad at doing it's job, they've still not got around to ruling on China's dumping of steel (afaik), having said that it's better than the alternative.

Does Trump's narcissism know no bounds, not only does he think so much of himself that people on mass aren't protesting against him of their own volition (apparently Obama is organising it all) but he's also blaming the disastrous Yemen raid on the previous administration despite him being responsible for giving the go ahead based on the most up to date risk assessment.

I'm actually disappointed that the rest of the world haven't placed a coordinated a trade embargo on America.
If that doesn't spur on the American people to kick him out it will at least teach him that, while companies are run as dictatorships, countries are not.

That $54b is probably how much it'll cost to fix the F-35.

Do anybody really think that the country will be more safe if they cut the CIA's budget and give the money to the military? I might be wrong but... you don't stop terrorist attacks with more tanks or more plane carriers, you stop it with inteligence.

Republican politicians tried everything to stop Obamacare ever being a thing in the first place, when asked to name an alternative they all blue screened and needed to be rebooted, so that they now can't come up with an alternative is one of the most obvious told you so moments of the Trump presidency.

    Just one of them. :p

No, but the electorate can see shiny new tanks and plane carriers that make them feel safe. It can't see intelligence (how do you think Trump got in?).

no - you stop it by not meddling invading other countries when they do not follow your doctrine.

Iranian revolution wouldn't have happened if the CIA hadn't removed the democratically elected president and replaced him with the shah

In many ways obsolete right from the get-go.

The budget increase is most likely not to combat terrorism, but more to boost (Trumps standing among the military) the military to meet a possible future threat of the Red Dragon. China doesn't have a blue water navy to challenge the US navy with at this time. But she will. There's been some tension in the South China sea.

Before the war (WWII) England was THE major sea power and took it upon herself to guarantee freedom of movement/commerce/navigation on the high seas for all nations, after the war England was broke and the United States moved in and took over, or, if you will, carried on the tradition, of free movement on the high seas. China will soon be in a position to challenge that freedom of movement.

And since the US Navy fills the role of the Royal Navy (context given), China planning a blue water navy, could very well be the preparation for war.

One version, real or perceived threat remains to be seen.
