I'm glad that he is gone, however, it doesn't mean that I'm pleased by the replacement...my dream of a Doctor Helen Mirren is dead now :-(

 

I doubt the Doctor has any genetalia anyway so I think the whole argument is moot. Or they have both, I mean the Doctor does have two hearts afterall.

 

..also isn't Missy a 'female' Timelord anyway? I mean, the concept has already been proven...

 

Frankly I don't care if the new Dr Who is male, female, CIS/non-CIS, otherkin, or sexually identifies as an Apache attack helicopter.

But the only other thing I can recall seeing Jodie Whittaker in was the episode of Black Mirror where she's getting shagged (no nudity, before you get your hopes - or anything else - up). Might take me a minute or two to see past that!

 

Liked her in Broadchurch. Good northern lass, you know an actor that doesn't look like they're acting.

I only have a problem with it because it just shows the BBC can't write compelling TV for a Female Lead. They have to PC-ize a historically male character rather than coming up with new IP.

Im also a bit peeved because all I've wanted was Capaldi to go full Malcolm Tucker for the last few years...

 

Been a couple of seasons of it, with that other Doctor David Tennant in one of the main roles.

 

Chris Chibnall produced Broadchurch, and when he got the Doctor Who job, wanted to bring in an actor he was familiar with. But Tennant was all "Been there, done that", so...

 

I posted the following on the Farcebook: "Anyone still moaning, get over yourselves. If the new Doctor does a poor job, then you will have something to moan about but, as yet there is absolutely no reason to think Jodie Whittaker will do anything other than a good job of playing The Doctor."

 

I don't think it matter's who or what plays Dr Who as the story lines of the past few seasons have been incredibly poor in my opinion. Give the job to a goat given some of the surreal plot's of recent series.

 

IIRC you're more likely to be fatally stabbed with a screwdriver than a knife... or get slashed to **** with a box cutter/stanley knife...

This lot coming out without a fuss was a worry off my mind:







These were the exhaust manifold studs off my Saab 9-5 Aero. When I got the car one of them had snapped (common problem) so I finally got around to changing them all and they all came out without a fuss, even the snapped one. Got a new stud kit and the manifold gasket so should all be back together by the weekend.

 

This has given me a chuckle. Ta.

been a long time since I played in 3DS and getting back into it has been a hell of a lot of fun, throwing away my shitty IT career to retrain as a 3D artist feels like something i should have done long ago. the question is now can I catch up quick enough.
