For some reason I can no longer open the command prompt. When I try it flashes on then disappears. I have no idea if it is related to the issues I am having with the Oculus Rift where I am getting Can't reach Oculus Runtime Services.

Do what you were planning to in cmd in there, and/or run

    Code:
    sfc /scannow

Zilch as in no errors found, or zilch as in errors found but it didn't fix them.

EDIT: May also want to give this and/or anti-virus/malware of your choice a spin.

Zilch as no errors found, not that it matters as it would not have helped as the issue with Oculus is an Oculus issue caused by some certificate expiring.

Open power shell, then type cmd. See if you get any errors come up - they will remain on the screen this time instead of instantly disappearing.

What happened when I tried that is Powershell reduced in size to a small, really small box in the left hand top of my monitor.

Shouldn't that be "start cmd" ?

Back OT does it do the same if you double click the cmd.exe file located in the %systemroot%\system32 folder.

Windows Key and left might force it to clip to your screen edge?

I read somewhere that if you uninstall the oculus software - then reinstall with latest version, it will then patch itself with the rest of the hardware... must do mine at some point too!

It sounds as though you've set the command prompt window size beyond or below it's minimum size?

Can you right-click on the desktop and create a new shortcut to "C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe" and then edit the properties of the shortcut where you should see fonts and layout tabs?

EDIT: Shoot, just realised I replied to Kronos, not likely that he's coming back to read it me thinks but it might help someone else out.
