I locked myself out of my place when I forgot a key on the inside on the door. I have a locksmith bump the lock. I've ordered a thumbturn cylinder and I'm looking to replace the weather stripping. I'm renting so it only needs to last a few years. It currently has 2 pieces or foam stip but it has completely fallen apart. I've done some reading but most refer to the US style of weather stripping that fits into a channel in the door which is not an option for me.

eBay has a hundred different materials and styles, what should I look for?

Do you know if the existing foam is an intumescent strip? Eg, for fire regs

I would assume that is is nothing special. I think the lock is not up to fire code and the smoke alarm was in the wrong room.
