    Holy cow. I feel as if I've been asleep. Some pretty good designs there - respect to those repositioned DIMM slots but OMFG SOMEONE HAS FINALLY IMPLEMENTED A 90 DEGREE ATX CONNECTOR.

    And then done away with it on the lower-end boards...

    Why isn't this standard yet?? I've been whingeing about this for years. Probably why I've got no friends...

    I think this board looks particularly excellent, of all the high-end ones I've seen.

    A Gigabyte technical PR rep mentioned that it adds cost of production and involves more PCB layering, but I haven't looked into it beyond that. Definitely a great feature though!

    His point was more concerning how ALL the connectors down that side are right-angled, not necessarily specific to the 24-pin. Still could be smelly though!

    Investigative journalism at it's finest. Did they give a number as to how much extra it costs? Surely it's something they can tank.

    I guess apart from I'd imagine limited suppliers and associated cost for a non standard part in addition there might be extra support required on the board due to forces going in a non standard direction.

    Just as I make the move to M.2 PCIe 4.0 products start coming out.
    Dual M.2 PCIe 4.0 slots on the ITX board is nice to see.
    Hopefully, we will see boards with 3-4 M.2 slots in ITX.
    I wonder if they can do 1 4x slot and a few 2x slots that would max out current drives?

    Do you know the difference between the x570m pro4 and the pro4 R2.0?

    Been hunting around and I can't see what the R2.0 denotes.

    It was from a January ECC entry listed here

    Suggests a X570 Pro 4, X570 Pro 4 R2.0, X570M Pro4 and an X570M Pro4 R2.0

    I just have no idea what makes an R2.0 an R2.0, maybe I should just wait and see if it is a 'thing' although it looks like Asrock have use R2.0 on other boards before. I would have thought it meant revision 2.0 or something but that would make no sense with a new board :worried:

    Maybe they've pre-registered the name so they can put out a rev 2 if they need to withough having to wait for whatever.

    Could well be, maybe they'll use it in a couple month for the inevitable Zen 2 APUs to denote boards that ship with an updated bios or something like that.
