Not sure if this NSFW vid belongs here, the demote, or the coronavirus thread.

I want my Mini to be Binky when it grows up. I mean it already has a 2.0l turbo in it, but the turbo is small and hiding down the back and it's nowhere near as shiny (all those passivated bolts though.....)

Stop it, stop it man! You can't do that, that's too many gears!

In all srsnss, it's an amazing representation of just how big a number a googol is. In case you're unfamiliar with the concept of a 'googol'... A googol is 1.0e100; that is, a 1 with 100 zeroes after it. The number of atoms in the universe is less than 1 googol, yet here's this YouTuber creating a googol:1 gear reduction with Lego. Lego FFS. Seriously, it's bonkers.

The machine would biodegrade before the figure even moved 1 degree, I reckon.

The universe is 13.8 billion years old (estimated). Apparently the minifig would rotate once every 52*10^91 years. In English, that's 5200000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 years.

If this machine had started running at the moment of the big bang, the minifig wouldn't even have moved 0.1°.

EDIT: If the machine started running at the moment of the big bang, then the minifig might just make 1 complete rotation before the heat death of the universe

    How come 52e91 doesn't start with a 5, but a 1...?

Because it's gone 10pm on a Saturday night, I'm slightly tired, and I'm doing three things at once. In short, I ****ed up the maths there .

Now flip the motor to the other side. I wonder what the max gear up ratio is before the friction would stop the motor.
