roll up roll up. get your 'oodies here. So after a ton of people requesting it we've finally decided to open up a merch store. Link here https://store.bit-tech.net/collections/all We currently don't have everything we want such as mouse mats but if enough interest is shown then we'll be doing them. Also any other merch suggestions or specials editions you'd like (doge mug anyone?) let us know.
That's exactly what it says... ... why censor it, on a T-shirt, when everyone's gonna know what the stars mean anyway...?
No handlebar mustaches yet... I'm holding out 'til I figure out the international shipping situation.
Brand cohesion or something...honestly I'm just trying to reiterate how idiotic it is to have a swear filter on a site populated by bearded old men.
It's not often, but I've occasionally had to abandon a joke...due to something completely unnecessary. Language is there to have fun with, and while I'm in no way comparing myself, if content filters were a thing in his time, we wouldn't have Shakespeare.
Well, if I'm wrong then you have the monopoly on corrupting the sweet, sweet minds of children with profanity-laden merch and you should be ashamed of yourself
I hate it, solely because it's disrupted my muscle-memory of "type b-ENTER into the URL bar, click on the rightmost tab in the nav bar". If Shakespeare of all people came up against a language filter, he'd have done exactly what he already did (not utilising many of the swears available at the time): invent a whole new bunch of phrases to describe and insult.
Leave it as is, it will drive more store visits, at least until all us forum addicts "retrain" our muscle memory. I'm very tempted by one of the t-shirts, if only to see if I ever run across another forumite in the wild and then start the dance of "I wonder which one that is" before giving up and simply walking over and introducing myself as "Fingers66". Edit: I relented and just bought an icons t-shirt and a mug. Very happy to support the site but £8.12 for shipping? Really? A t-shirt and mug sent via Royal Mail first class signed for small parcel @ 500 grams (guess) is only £4.58. You need to review your shipping agent or at least offer alternative methods at a range of prices, that's a ripoff bit steep. Edit: ripoff was a bit harsh, edited to calm it down a bit.
