I loved the Indiana films but the desperate need for one last squeeze of the tit, to eke a little more money out of a franchise, rarely produces a film worthy of the name. I'll bet you a tenner it's absolutely loaded with fan service and nods to earlier moments, to drape a veil over the plateful of beige they're actually serving up.

 

My worry is that the rumor about the film being a big launch pad for a Phoebe Waller-Bridge led 'Indy' reboot turns out to be true.

 

Aw, ffs. I'd rather they just let it die.

 

Crystal skull was pushing the edge, this smacks of scraping the bottom of the bottom of the barrel, although to be fair he plays a mean cowboy in 1923

 

At least she'd be better than the planned reboot with Shia LeBouef after Crystal Skull.

Well call me optimistic but I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt particularly after the atrocious Kingdom Skull (which still had a few moments). Nothing will top The Last Crusade with it's shonky effects and great visual gags and it's without doubt my favourite Indy just because of the chemistry between Father and Son and River Phoenix playing Indy's younger self (after his turn in Mosquito Coast).

Wife and I had the Temple of Doom credits music playing as we walked down the aisle!

 

I wouldn't put serious money on it going tomorrow, but it's worth keeping an eye on:
8AM CDT (13:00 UTC if my math is correct).

Well that was exciting. Leading candidate for the failure is the engines dug a huge trench under the launch mount and threw debris into engines, which disassembled the engine next to the hydraulic power unit (used for engine gimble), which is why it started to tumble. With 8 engines out, it probably still would have been loss of mission though.
