Ah, but you can pay an extra £2.99 a month to remove 'em! Except the ones on sporting events. And some other stuff.

Yeah, but nah, they already get £100 a year out of me for the subscription as it is, which I do consider fair, but adverts or another £36 quid isn't happening, a 36% rise for the same service I'm getting now is extracting the urine.

My thoughts entirely. Prime is the one subscription that we keep running mainly for the free shipping, deals, and my wife makes use of things like Kindle and Audible too, but the irritating thing for me is that i have been happily watching some things on Prime only to find that the new seasons are available only with an additional subscription to Paramount +. Nope.

The ads thing is not going to bother me too much unless they start doing a youtube and chucking in too many unskippable mid-roll ads, something that I am sure we all know will happen at some point...

Not having a good day today.

Slept late because I hadn’t set my alarm properly.

Couldn’t get the bike out because next door had parked too close - again.

Other half didn’t pick up the phone despite me calling five times - keeps her bloody phone permanently on bloody silent mode - so had to go and get her out of bed to move the car.

Could barely see a thing by the time I got 10 mins into my commute because my visor fogged up so much - had to ride with the visor half open.

Crawling traffic all the way in - not safe to filter on those roads, too narrow and far too many trucks & lorries.

Waterproof bike gear is no longer waterproof.

Absolutely drenched through by the time I got in - nearly six hours later my crotch is still damp.

Insoles keep bunching up inside my trainers.

    Nearly out of e-liquid.

Co-op had no sausage baps left.

I only ever have Prime on free trials. Definitely can't see that changing now.

There would've been a lot less fuss if they'd first announced a £2.99/mo cheaper "Ad-supported" option, then quietly snuck the price back up a few month later.

Probs not, they already added a quid a month to the price in 2022.

I have no particular issues with the extra £3/month, other than just wanting to pay less rather than more - what grinds my gears the most are all of the providers bundling all manner of fluff with their services hoping to be the one and only provider for everything that someone will ever want.

Please let me stream your video without also providing me with all the other BS. I can't even tell you how many music streaming services I subscribe to by association that I've never actually used.

When I went to cancel Netflix recently I found out that for some reason they're now giving me mobile games too... but why?

I appreciate that Apple are taking the opposite approach one might expect Apple to take: You can have it all for a bundle price if you want it all, but if you just want TV then just have TV, if you want Arcade sure bolt it on.

Amazon do/did do that, you could subscribe to just prime video... but it was well hidden and barely any cheaper than full on prime [iirc it was £1/month less].

If you pay monthly, video only is £5.99 per month, rather than £8.99 for full Prime. There is no annual option for video only.
