Hello. I just build the “Bells & Whistles version” pwm with thermal control at http://www.cpemma.co.uk/thermal.html . The circuit doesn’t work for me and I can’t fuggier why since I don’t know much about electronics. The circuit design is correct and according to the diagram.

I didn’t put the IC power connections and smoothing capacitors :duh: . I suppose this is the problem but I would like the pro’s opinion before I burn something as usual. Is the schematic complete?

I plan to install this inside a Q-TEC 550 psu to control the 2 cooling fans, has any one tried it before? Were do you suggest to mount the thermistor?

    Thanks

    Welcome to Bit, haloumis :thumb:

It certainly has no chance whatsoever of working without the power connections to the IC. :D

    As it says:

Thanks :thumb: . I guess I should read before I start soldering :wallbash: . No wonder I never made something work with the first attempt.
