Well today I orderd an inspiron E1505 with upgraded Intel Core 2 Duo processor (2MB/1.66GHz/667MHz) and 256MB ATI MOBILITY RADEON X1400 HyperMemory. I left the 512 to upgrade when I get it in to 2gig but cant find any "how to". to install it, anyone know where I can find this?

    Thanks for any help

Well, you screw it open, take out the old one, and put in the new one, and then you close it again. It isn't that hard, just like with a regular PC, only the DIMM's are smaller, and you have less room to work in.

I was thinking it was one on the bottom like that and one under the keybord... but if there both under the back it would be much better.

    thank you

If you flip it upside down you'll see various hatches screwed in... One of them gives you acces to your RAM

Well I got my laptop and it didn’t come with any restore cd's, I installed XP pro rather then leaving WMC 05 on it. After going through reinstalling everything I find that the sound card is not being recognized after several reboots for windows updates. I did talk to dell and there sending me all the cd's that they should have sent including the drivers cd. This will take a week to get to me though. Anyone have any ideas on how to find my sound card and get it to work? Its a dell inspiron E1505, thanks again.

Got to www.drivermagic.com and download and run the software, will find all the devices you have and suitable drivers for you, all you have to do is click the link download and install.
