Used to play both electric and classical guitar. Don't have a lot of interest in it anymore though. Maybe take it back up in the future.

I play the cello. $2500 paid for cello imported from my strings teacher who takes trips to Romania; should be worth $5000 in the U.S. I'm thinking of picking up the bass guitar, or else an electric tuned and strung like a cello.

I used to play cello, but gave up after a few years (is it just me, or are most classical instrument teachers complete t***s?!) - realy wish I stuck at it though - can't beat the sexy sound of a cello!

Been playing bass for around 10 years, and drumming for 7. Also play guitar (6 string) a little (enough to get by).

    Currently own:

    Aria Pro II bass (1980's)
5-string 'Wesley' B3505 (Jordie bloke designs guitars, has them built overseas, and sells them on eBay).
100w Trace Elliot combo (can't remember which model!)
    Small, 50w Peavey practice amp

Aria Pro II guitar (blue/white sunburst)

Hohner 5 peice drumkit with Sabian/Zildjian/Paste cymbals, and a Yamaha 13" Snare (like the one Akira Jimbo uses, but without the wooden rims)
    Yamaha DTXPress II electronic drumkit

    Home-made theremin

    ...and a Stylophone!

Played in an alt.rock band for around 4 years. Gigged regularly, won regional 'Battle of the Bands' comp, had stuff played on BBC Radio Lincolnshire, and recorded a few demo CD's (one of which was mixed by the same guy that mixed 'Agadoo' - not that that's anything to brag about!)

    (apologies for the slight bump)

let's see instruments i know how to play (i don't have a lot of pics since i don't own alot of them - way to expensive)

    Piano
    Timpani
    Glockspiel
    Xylophone
    Marimba
    Vibraphone
    Snare
various other small instruments (slide whistle, mouth siren, etc)
    congo drums
    bongo drums

i know the mallet instruments are basically the same, but the playing style is different for each.

and if you care the reason i don't own those is because it would probabl cost more than 150 grand to get good ones of each. :D

    cheers.

I play guitar, just for a hobby really, nothing serious.

I've got a Fender Strat (black body/tortoiseshell pickguard) and a black/mirror Squier Tele (which actually plays really well considering it's a cheap guitar). On the acoustic side of things I have a Fender acoustic thing which I picked up cheap on eBay.

As for amplification I've got a Marshall ACT-50 which is loud as hell but sounds great. Nice valve driven tone. I've also got a Zoom G2 multi effects pedal which is pretty decent, Boss Compression Sustainer and delay pedals, Jim Dunlop Cry-Baby Wah pedal, EH Big Muff (bought it cause I liked the name :p).

My main inspirations are Pink Floyd, The Smiths, Led Zeppelin, stuff like that :)

I sing, play electric and accoustic guitar, bass, piano, and I'm learning drums.

I'm sort of in 3 bands, my solo thing Citadel and I play bass and sing backing in Mostly Noise Punk rock with good solos

Me and my younger brother are starting a heavy metal band in devon at the moment. So yeah, music is just about everything to me :D
