@widmod, lighten up, if a mod wants to remove this for whatever reason that is they're concern. I for one am happy for ComputerKing for having a plan and seeing it through properly this time! And it looks good to boot! Good Job!
We all run into problems from time to time and I'm sure when he gets through his the case mod will be back in business!

Good job, CK. Makes me cringe when I look at mine. Thanks for giving me a good example to follow!

Actually I think you may have been looking at the wrong LEDS :D
    Check out these babies!!

There are some really nice articles on Instructables.
Here is a basic one on how to set them up.
    http://www.instructables.com/id/E0TL4RID3YEWIJMKVI/

You were talking about wanting to be able to control the lighting.. Check this one out..
    http://www.instructables.com/id/EAZWM7SMGAEWIFNUSK/

And here is a simple example of some LED desk lighting.
    http://www.instructables.com/id/EA0EB44WGKEZR7BQ0S/

If LEDs are still not your cup of tea.. I think something like these..

Would look nice, but instead of mounting them to the ceiling mount them to the wall so they stick straight out from the wall. That way you wouldn't have to poke holes in that nice mural. I have seen a picture of them mounted to the wall, I just can't seem to find it at the moment.

Anywho.. Looking good and now GET BACK TO THAT PC MOD!! :thumb:

    read the project log rules

    problems?
i didn have seen any sketches or something jet
als i saw was some blurry so called pictures from a previous project :worried:
what i ment was referring to the project log rules which are sticky at the top of the project log forum at bit-tech.net

    they say:

Note: Project Logs are for PC projects only. Decorating a room, doing a computer desk - these aren't Project Logs, and threads should be posted either in the Modding forum or General Discussion.

    2. Your first post must contain pics of the actual mod in progress. If all you have is an idea, you don't have a log. If all you have is some conceptual sketches, you don't have a log. If all you have to show is a heap of parts, you don't have a log. This forum is purely for concrete work in progress - the other modding forums are more appropriate for concepts and thoughts.

anyways i also thought its quite sensless to read the thread ttle first and find nothing thats promised there :duh:

Actually, CK has been saying bout a log for this for a while, and so it kinda has been promised, unless you think the definition of a workstation is the actual computer, as opposed to the location that a person does work. Chillax. Give the guy a break.

Anyway CK, it's looking good, can hope you come up with something pretty neat for the lighting. One thing I will say, is maybe a bit of cable management behind the desk, as the cables are a tad messy...

    Or maybe I'm just picky...:wallbash:

of corse i thought he ment the computer because thats what the porject look section is for and nothing else
(please note that desk modifications are mentioned in the rules to belong to the modding section :wallbash:

Maan widmod, why do you even care :worried:

I've seen CNC machine builds, also a guy started modding a van etc. Why haven't they been moved? Hope you'll start modding your computer, and get back to the log-section. Good luck from me.

If your still wondering about lighting I spotted these in my local Homebase. Wondered if they are any use to you or weather you can get them out there where you are. They look quite simple and come in different colours they work off batteries and just stick on. Can’t testify to the brightness though.

The only problem I have with the setup is the very short armreach. Generally, I prefer to keep the bottom of my keyboard/laptop at least 15cm away from the table edge. That gives me a neutral arm and shoulder position and reduces muscle aches and joint pain after extended durations of work.;)

Plus, it leaves some desk space for me to put some Post-It notes in front of me when I run out of space on the monitor and wall.

By the way, since you're in Dubai/Egypt, have you ever heard of Shada Hassoon?
