Because I could? To begin with, I just wanted to try something different.

After I'd used it for a while, a few advantages did stand out. Specifically:
The desktop is closer to square, so things tend to be closer together.
Also, moving windows (or my attention) up and down seems more natural to me than side-to-side.

I'm working on a more permanent mounting setup, at the moment the monitor in the back is just sitting on a box. Pics will be posted in the appropriate thread when it's done.

 

On my laptop, I like having everything right on the desktop so I don't have to click through menus when I'm using a touchpad. Unfortunately, having icons scattered everywhere looks messy, so I came up with this. It's a good thing I don't install new programs often, because I have to edit the background image every time I do.

 

It's gonna get lost in a sea of hundreds of pages, but whatever.

Before you ask: NO, it's a boy... at least that's what they're trying to tell us.

God i hate that "Band" No talent, no charisma, no right to life IMHO. Why does people like this make music?
