    Think again.

Am I the only one that thinks project logs should be locked after 2 months or so of inactivity?

I agree they should be locked after 2 months of inactivit or they should be locked 1 month after the project is finished for questions(which are normally already answered earlier in the thread nobody reads it though before they ask questions. I don't know how many times on this thread somebody asked where he got the ammocan for this)

What about the people who just joint this forem, they will never see how good some projects are. Oke I agree, read the thread before asking guestions that have already been asked before. But they don't have to close the thread just for that.

Thanks for the extra interest guys, but I also agree the thread can be locked, the PC has been done for over a year.

You can't lock it until you tell us where you got the covered keyswitch, I sat here for 20 minutes googling since I can't find the ones I used on an old mod!

but as zap has said a million times it was from radio shack and they seem to have stopped carrying it, he said he got the last one in his local radioshack.

    Hi Zap

I knoiw i may sound a bit stupid when i say this but i am an apprentice it technition based in the uk and find your front port mods exelent. i have been building computers in standard cases since i could first spell computer but am bored of the "normal system" look is there any chance of some schematics or some form of instructions of how you wired the front buttons, knobs and displays and what they do.
any help would be greatly appreciated

    regards
    zak

just an idea to help you save money.

if you want secuirity i can accept paypal or nochex if that makes you feel better

My only schematics were hand written and long gone.
As you can see I kind of just wired it as I went along, very ghetto.

In reality it's nothing more then re-wiring the connections on both sides, ensuring the same wire passes through the connector to the right wire on the other side.

I did wire in some special, but simple circuits such as the fan controller, and the keylock switch.
