    Another day, another embarrassing QA failure from the fruit. Seriously, do they even HAVE a QA team anymore?

    At least they actually acknowledged there was a problem for once... and then actually 'fixed' it...

    Usually you get some 'you're probably just holding it wrong' style fob-off and then the problem gets ignored.

    I'll wait to see some reviews on how the chassis copes with the heat first.

    Apparently they are coping fine now. The fan curve has been made much more aggressive and the CPU voltages lowered.

    So now it performs in line with the rest of the MBP line, which is to say it's faster than the i7 model but slower than an i7 or i9 windows machine that has better cooling and higher sustainable clock speeds as a result.
