All work and family(being a dad) makes jack a dull boy!!! hehe Id be keeping an eye on this thread over the next day or so
Excellent news! I love what you've done with this case, and I love your imagination - it's amazing what you've done with something that so many people (yours truly included) just slap on fans, cut a blowhole in and maybe a window...the Lian-Li is becoming a case that is overlooked because everyone knows what you can do with it, and mods like this one can change that.
Thanks mate really nice thing when someone complements you like that Here ya go have a crappy peep at whats been done (1 reason for not replying yet night time pics are bad for my cam need to be took in natural light so soz about pic)
Watercoolage You've got all that in so clean-Li ( ), it's amazing. Colour me very impressed. I wouldn't start it up like that though, your NB seems to be missing a tube
Some pic's for you guys been working all day long on the case, have even got around to doing abit of the PSU that will be finnished tomorrow leaving just the front to be refreshed and lighting!! cant believe ive had time to do the stuff i have watercooling is finally back in there hopefully abit better than b4 also here's part of the PSU done and the front cheers jack
If you're going to be upping the voltage/FSB a lot, you might want to do what a lot of Epox overclockers do, and that is put extra cooling on the mosfets and the vreg chip. The mosfets are the six chips in line, to the right of the CPU, between the CPU and the IO ports, and the vreg chip is just above them. They all get very hot on the 8RDA/+/3+ boards, and it will help a good deal if you put a few ramsinks across to help cool them. Since you've got air going right across that area anyway, a fan shouldn't be needed. Some really hardcore Epox overclockers watercool the mosfets (and the southbridge too, for that matter), but I think they either make the blocks themselves or get one in a particular US shop. A few ramsinks should do the trick fine, but it is worth it even if you're casually increasing voltage/FSB, for the sake of your board's long life The case is looking really clean, I'm looking forward to seeing what you're doing with that PSU
Hi peeps well its been along time since some real progress with the case! Unfortunatly i have not been giving it all my attention and with money problems looming over my head things have been a tad bleek. But over the next few weeks thing's are gonna pick up ive salvaged enough cash to buy the things i need! and ive finally got that bleeding watercooling in and setup the correct way some pics Soz about these pics i was just getting used to my new camera Ive started work on another fan shroud and thats coming along nicely! Made from a cd container Few bits left to do with the shroud but i will get it done and post some pics soon So sorry to all them ppl that was bothering to look at the case! ive let it down some what these past few months sorry guys
I have just read the entire 15 page thread. WOW! incredible work. Very profesional look. The only thing that came to mind when I saw the front was "Arctic Silver". Too bad that one is taken. Very nice, clean work.
Wow. Just read the whole thing myself. Just starting to gather my modding tools ( bought my dremel last weekend ) so I'm really glad that I got to see your log. Nice job.
What about the top window, guess you got that one left, are you doing to add some of the blue wonderful framething to that one also? Very nice work, looks really clean
