    i personally welcome stuff like this.. the clunky, clumsy display ports are a PITA in almost every sense... too bad hdmi has such stupid fees and whatnot with it, because that would have been a nice end-all, but someone just had to get theirs too, so now here comes another contender...
    only problem now is the $50USD they will charge for a 6' cable

    Damnit, I will have to play UT3 on a sh*tty LCD and destroy my eyes more and more each games......

    For those who keep mentioning UDI. It is pretty much died in the water. All backer of UDI has already jump to DisplayPort ( apart from Samsung who hasn't pulled out yet. )

    DisplayPort offer a few advantage, and one of them not mentioned much is the support of optical cable. HDMI current have problems with low quality cable as well as Cable length. DisplayPort solve all of that.

    And DisplayPort 2.0 should double the bandwidth allowed in current spec.

    Personally i think DisplayPort is a much better technology then HDMI.
