Nevermind careful, I'm a psycolist (A Psychotic cyclist for those who don't know what that is):p

Na, in all seriousness the old I/O panel is getting bondo'd and then two fans (Exhaust) put over where the I/O panel was, to help keep the CPU cool... I'm going to cheat and go around car boot sales later looking for an ATX motherboard tray (Doubt there'll be one, but you never know)

    PICS!

Long time, no update, so New post is in order...

I finally got hold of my stepdad's camera:

    The whole thing zoomed out:

    Other side cut (Incomplete):

    Right hand side cut:

The dremeling is really bad, but I was nervous at my first attempt on a case... I'm painting over it anyway, so no matter:)

    THINGS TO DO:
Buy stuff to get the thing finally put together (Bondo, Mesh, Paint and Primer)
Buy Dremel discs and finish cutting (Back section of case, Backplate, top window (Designs coming soon))
    Primer and paint it

Sorry... but the point in that was...?

I said that the next mod would be star wars oriented... I've got my plans already in place, and it's not an AT-AT Walker

You get update when I get money for my metal cutting dremel bits:)

I should get my EMA backpay in the next few days, so I'll finish cutting the sides, and start with the fan holes:p

    (Don't worry, I haven't forgotten you all <3)

    UPDATE!

    FINALLY!

I've managed to get hold of the holy grail that is my stepdad's camera:)

You'd better be happy with what I've got or I'll start biting:D

    CASE STRUCTURE:
I got that other panel cut off:) (FIVE Dremel discs later... from now on I only use the diamond edged steel blades)

    Inside Cut:

    Outside Cut:

    Entire thing inside:

    Entire Thing outside:

You can actually see the difference between my last cut and the new cut here

    Back:

    Front:

    And OH NOEZ!

There's a gap between the top of my case and the back & front panels!

Even when I try to hold it together with my enormous hands!!!:O

No matter, I'll just put L profiles over it before I paint it:)

AND... I'll update more later... Food's ready

EDIT: mmm... burnt quiche and curly fries drowned in BBQ sauce:)

    Now... where were we?

Oh aye... my enormous hands... now you see why I suck with a dremel:)

    CLEANLINESS:

Eugh... look at the state of this...

Time for my special cleaning materials...

Yep, a slightly damp ball of Charmin:)
And a slightly dry one to dry it all

    Result!

and the Intel sticker from the first page?
    ALL GONE!:thumb:

    OTHER BITS:

Most of this I've done on my oh so brilliant workspace...

Yep, a breakfast tray from a charity shop (Help a good cause AND help yourself) it's around A3 size so it does for drawings... cleaning... and chipping those sharp bits off the edges!

WOW! look at my amazing sharp bit chipping thing!
(Tell a lie, it's a wallpaper chisel, but nobody will notice:))

Right... here's my main problem... I have these...

And I have no idea what to do with them:( I fancy using them somehow so any ideas are greatly appreciated

and last of all, remember these from before I stripped the case out?

I looked at them and they're AT mounting brackets
I looked at them again and realised they're metal... so they will bend
I looked at them a third time and shouted MOTHERBOARD MOUNTING BRACKETS! (then got a funny look from my dog who was passing at the time)
    Say hello to DEEFOR!

    THINGS TO DO:
    Cut out the top window
Get some L plates and fix them on the side panels
    Make motherboard tray mounts
(Most Important) Get more Dremel cutting discs:)

U really need to work more precisely. Use masking tape to draw lines, take your time. Yes, thats bold.

    Good luck!

I did take my time... I wear it's my gigantic hands that make me screw up:p

In all honesty though, I WILL use your masking tape idea (because I've seen it before, and I was going to anyways)

But for now I have to wait on getting Dremel Disc funds again:)

I've had to change the components list around a bit... I've recently acquired a 3.2Gig processor for a VERY reasonable price and so that's going in the case instead of the E8400

As a result I'm going to just get a stock cooler off ebay because it won't be handling anything too strenuous (and I'm not going to o/c it)

And again, because of this I might just stick with 2Gb RAM (I've got a stick around somewhere)

8500GT's staying, as are the Optiarc DVD+/-RW, Asus P5GD2 and the Seagate 500Gb HDD

Because of size issues I've had to downgrade to 4 fans (and it's cheaper to just buy LED fans than all the kit I'd need to wire up my own LEDs), with one possibly being 80mm depending on my skill with fibreglass resin

oh, and I'm changing the PSU to an Arctic power 600W (It's cheap, quiet, and damn powerful)

Small update, but meh, better than nothing:)

    Hi again:)

Ladies and gentlemen I'd loke to introduce you to my sponsor...

    Project sponsored by
    [IMG]

Unlikely sponsor, but I've been given a piece of plexi perfect for both my case window in the top... AND the surprise that I've got lined up for you lovely boys and girls for an extremely cheap price

They're also supplying cheap offcuts of Aluminium for my current mod, and some perspex bits for my next mod, so they're definitely worth a mention (And their engraving and sign making work is bloody good:)

    ANYWAYS! on with the update:

    The aforementioned plexi:

And for my birthday I've been given a pressie to go with it... say hello to SAM!

Yes I'm sad, I name my tools, but then at least they know they're loved:)

...And (after taking a few pics for my for sale thread) the camera died, so I couldn't get any pics of marking it and the case lid out:(

There will be more pictures soon, promise:)

    LADLES AND GENTLEMEN WELCOME BACK!

    Project sponsored by
    [IMG]

First thing's first, I've been saying I have a Dremel, but I have bad news... there was no Dremel:(
    [IMG]
It was always a Dremel wannabe

Oh well, £10 from a car boot sale and proud of it!
    Well... not that proud

    Anyways, on with das update:

    Always remember... Safety First
    [IMG]

I've got the plexi marked up!:)
(Thanks again to Abbey Signs, Nunnery Lane, York for providing it:p)

    And my template?
I can't believe how much of it will be going to waste:eek: although, none of it will be wasted;) but more on that next update

Now, because I'm a bugger when it comes to spending money, I've got myself a slight problem, I have no Dremel(esque) cutting discs left, and I wanted a window in the roof...:(
    Solution?

    DRILL IT!

Then try cutting as much as possible with my metal wannabe-Dremel discs that came with it
    [IMG]

    Cleanliness of the cutting:

It's not too bad actually, even if I DO say so myself:p

I had to stop, partially because my makeshift workbench looked a bit worse for wear
    [IMG]

    And my arthritis kicked in
YES! I SAID ARTHRITIS! Worst part:

    Entire Hand:

    Yes, they are blue:(
Yes it does hurt to type, but it just goes to show how comitted I am to bringing you lovely boys and girls an update:)

So that's all for today, I'd have done more but my hands fail:(
    My consolation to you all?
    FEET!

    Love you all
    Sharny
