Well it is yet again time for a new little case to be built. This will be the only case I build for myself this year so I guess I might put some extra affort in it.
So to start nice and slowly you can try and guess what it will be, here is a hint:
    :D

    Umm...

    IMDB gave me :

Charlie Had One But He Didn't Like It, So He Gave It to Us

Considered to have the longest title in Canadian TV history, this show's title was originally even longer, with the addition of the subtitle, "...And We Didn't Like it Either So We're Giving It Back to Charlie".

Has that got anything to do with it at all????

Well, the hardware will be a P4 3.06/533, ATI 9800 PRO, half a gig of DDR333, motherbaord from a soltek Qbic case, two WD400JB drives.

As for the case itself I plan to mix some of the techniques used in Oenone and 3 plus the cooling approach from Syrinix. My aim is to have the bug max 500mm long.

Currently I'm in the part sourcing stage.

It might have some parts moving if I can fit it inside, but the risk of it chasing you is nonexisting :D

Alright lets get some pictures posted then since I know you "feel the need". I have done some shopping and this is what I got so far:

A Soltek SL-B8A-F motherboard that unfortunately only can be found in Soltek Qbic barebones. The mem is a stick of 512MB Kingmax PC2700 and the CPU is a P4 3.06/533.

First time I actually try to match the colours of all PCBs in a case. If any of you happens to know where I can get a red gigabit ethernet NIC please tell me.

"One fan to rule them all, one fan to cool them all..."

This 120mm Vantec Stealth will be the only fan for cooling, hopefully it is powerful enough.

To distribute the cooling provided by the Vantec a ThermoChill 120.1 will be used to cool some water. I like it when radiators can be bought without any fittings attached. Two 8mm push-in fittings from RS are waiting for action.

Some action and 2 minutes later they have been installed :)
