    I guess that is for their special hardware and software support buttons as I upgraded my Vaio and everything works as expected but I junked all the Sony Bumpf on the machine a long time ago.

    Tends to be one of my first steps on laptops, unistall preinstalled stuff.

    If your machine is on 8/8.1 already, there shouldn't be any issues.

    Likewise, Sandy, except I do a full reinstall as soon as I get any pre-installed garbage. :D
