Hello again everyone, sorry about the delay been busy lately, but at least there will be a nice long post as I have now almost finished the mod.

There has been a change of plan from using the fan to a servo now as I can easily gear it to move at the right speed.

Next I drilled a hole for the servo head to fit into in order to drive the cog.

Before I started on the 'cog and piston' I gave the side panel a respray in copper and finished off the edging around the windows to make them stand out more.

Time to work on the cog and piston

The Cog was cut out of plasticard and then filed into shaped with the help of some clippers.

This was the sprayed black ready to be painted to make it more rusty.

Next I got to work on the piston and how it would be able to slide up and down. Drew a few sketches first.

This would also be made out of plasticard and then painted later.

I was made using 3 layers of plasticard in order to make a slot in the middle for the arm to run up and down.

I used an old circular servo arm as the runner and chopped down the sides so it would fit.

Next I started work on the piston. This was also plasticard with some metal bits I found in a draw at the end. Have not got a clue what they were from.

All of these were then sprayed black.

The cog now needed a point for the piston to rotate around and this was just a screw with some plasitcard to raise it off the surface.

This was all then attached to the cog and servo and then stuck on to the panel.

I then started to paint some detail onto the piston mounting.

At this point I started to work on the motherboard.

I painted the cpu fan and also added several details which were built out of card board then painted.

The overall affected I was quite pleased with.

Next I decided I needed something to cover my hard drive so ... out came the warhammer again.

I painted up some panels which could fit over the hdd.

More work has been done but I have not taken any photos yet hope to update soon.
