Some machining... this time using the rotary table to make cuts 30 degrees from each other to match the cut shape of mnpctech's modder's mesh and recess it flush with the back of the "nacelle ring"...

It works like this, so it will "just stay in the right place"... :D

    And from the front...

    PSU Pod Completion...

This is kind of a breakthrough for me because its the first time locating holes with the dials... what fun... :hip:

Getting holes through both plates in back... ready to tap one, drill and counterbore the second... this mill is just too much fun... :D

    That paper's a shim...

Here's the business end... the 1/4" thick PSU backplate, a 1/4" plate cut to allow the PSU to slide in and fixed to the inside of the pod, and a PC Power and Cooling PSU...

Sliding it in and pulling wires through at the same time...

    And there she is... :thumb:

The opening for wires was milled out and will be directly opposite a similar cutout in the main pod... so only one inch of wires will show and they're hidden by the brackets... :D

Too beautiful. I'm loving this work.

Nice work using the checkerplate as a background to display your latest piece. It so fits the theme :hehe:

haha awesome skull. before looking down at the pics of it on the lever, i thought it was some wacky drilling compound or you'd gone bonkers and was drilling some shaving cream! :eyebrow: :hehe:

Lol I had the exact same thoughts. Loving this case though. You're going to have to keep a bucket nearby to collect all the drool.

I thought it was glue that had dried up in the tube of a calking tube. And though he was gonna mill something out of it.

Looks sick. But paint that skull.

I think the skull is nice, but you should paint it. That would make it A LOT better looking imo.
