no you cant use crossfire on an nvidia board.. that would make no sense, to crossfire with a core2duo you need a motherboard with a 975X chipset or get an ati chipset and an am2 board

Computerking - there is an edit button on each and every one of your posts, use it

4 posts in a row is just nonsense

bit-tech is not an instant messenger nor is it an IRC channel, at times you will just have to wait for a reply, such is the nature of a forum

I promise you will get more helpful replies if you raise the quality of your posts. English may not be your first language, but this is an english speaking forum. With your posts in their current state, many people here who would otherwise be able to offer you help simply won't bother trying to read your posts and move on to the next thread.

I'd recommend reading this: (link) excellent article from Bit-Tech.

Additionally an article at Anandtech (link) said this: "A single GeForce 8800 GTX is more powerful overall than a 7900 GTX SLI configuration and even NVIDIA's mammoth Quad SLI." (on the last page)

I'd go with a single 8800 card for now.

Also, sometimes it's best to just post once then check back a day later - many people here only have time to be on once a day and only for a short time.

    talk about spending money!

i personally would purchase a big a** screen (21'') and wait for the next line up from nvidia. 8800 is there first DX10 card and is only a week old i believe. i think nvidia will soon release a 1Gb card, with DDR4 onboard. remember 8800's have DDR3.

    X1900XTX with DDR4 is just a good a the 7950 GX2 DDR3!
