Thanks Bartacus. Ordered some 2mm sheet alu & 1mm perforated sheet alu. So yeah, revised panel is a go go, depending on delivery time I hope to complete it before 2015.
New front, couldn't wait for the perforated aluminum with wanting it done by 2015 so went with the chunky brass hex mesh. All the best for 2015.
Thanks Attila, been checking your site & it runs faster than it did & nice workshop upgrade but when are you posting your new project?, looks awesome. Installed it. And thats it done.
the new front panel is a great improvement - and it looks very "waynio industries" TM - esque but if i were you, i think i would put some black nylon stocking, or something, behind the brass to prevent dust from overtaking your whole case...
Oh wow that's so much better than the previous front. The hex mesh is awesome, it makes the front 'pop' out. Very nice, when do these go into production?!
That build was quick! I don't know if the perforated mesh would have rendered better than that brass hex. Great work!
Thanks storm, I have an air compressor, makes quick work of cleaning computers. Thanks Jeff. Thanks Meelobee & man I could do with making some money, always broke, just switched from smoking to vaping & thinking I'm willy wonka making my own juices. Thanks shinji, I'm gutted, I feel totally up for making things but really not enthused to design, hopefully I'll snap out of it & get a design on the go soon. Thanks Razer. Thanks Kerroin, the brass hex looks good but I think regular perforated alu painted black would have been better, the design gets lost at some angles with the brass. Nice big sheet for free, thanks one. Last few shots of this. Right now I'm happy with this HTPC so I'm pretty content & it'll probably be while until my next project, design wise I'm just not enthused at the moment.
Having the making of a mediacenter a long time on my mind. Nice skills and tools you have. ( ha ha also nice build) . Mayby when i have more time i am gona build me one.
Thanks voigts. Thanks Zoyadog. Thanks TATH, nice to have a dedicated HTPC. It's running nicely, can do google sketchup on it & run emulators well & it's virtually silent & costing far less to run than an all rounder rig which is good since it's nearly always on, happy happy, joy joy.
