So im having a brain fart moment, and telling myself it will be fine. But wanted to double check Old intel 3770k system Bought this psu to go in it, the 8 pin cable dont reach the cpu power, im right in reading that i will just need to buy an 8pin to 8 pin extender ? (im not gonna cut them and do it myself as its for my nephew) https://www.newegg.com/seasonic-s12-ss-430hb-ob-430w/p/N82E16817151044 And for the gpu picked up this on here recently, which is an 8 pin, i have an adapter which is 2 6 pin to one 8 pin ...... would that work ?, it says it needs 450 wats but only draws like 120 ish so should be fine ? , or would i be better with just a 6 pin to 8 pin adapter to conquer it ? https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/prod...v_rx570gaming_4gd_radeon_rx_570_4g.html/specs
I would have thought a single 6-pin to 8-pin would do the job just fine. I would also think that the PSU would be enough, just don't try overclocking.
Overclocking will significantly increase the power draw potentially. So it could end up over the rated maximum for the PSU.
thanking you fellas, i wont be overlocking it, maybe down the line when its on its last legs lol, its for my nephew so as i need to touch as less stuff as possible so it runs without tweaking here and there when things dont work, i wont be monitoring it like i do my own machine so gonna be fairly maintance free
