Hi, i'm using IntervideoWinDVD as was bundled with my MoBo and i want to screenshot a DVD, but every time i try to paste it into an image editor it shows a black screen if the DVD isn't playing; the image is un-editable if it's paused; and a moving picture if the film is left to play. Can anyone help?

    Disable hardware acceleration.

Disable GFX card acceleration  isn't there some simpler way of doing it?

Should be an option somewhere in WinDVD, I know that in PowerDVD and NVDVD there is. I would imagine all DVD software has this somewhere.

There's no option i can find in WinDVD - the only hardware acceleration option i can find is "Hardware motion compensation" and that doesn't work. :waah:

When I use Hypersnap DX-4 to take screenshots I get the exact same problem, however in Hypersnap there is a "Special Capture" feature specifically for DVD or DirectX kinda stuff. This feature works perfectly for taking shots of DVDs. See if you can find it in whatever software you use to take them.

ditch windvd cause it reeks, and use power dvd without hardware support. thats the best way to do it.
