Ooh, thought of another old mate of mine; Richard Espin. Not too bad eh? Apart from the fact that you can shorten Richard to 'Dick', and Espin is an anagram of Penis...

I saw a TV programme where some single mum had called her children Diesel and Tagan! Also, there's the slobs in Harry Enfield "but Ashtray's a boy's name!" "well, how about Frogmella then. It's exotique!" ch424 (= Alex; nice and normal)

For a sheer concentration of badnames you can't beat DeForest, Nichelle, Brent, LeVar, Marina, Majel, Whoopi, Dwight and Wil. Not to mention Avery, Rene and Cirroc. Colm, Armin and Nana. Very enterprising.

We had a lot of random 'lets make our kid different and interesting' named people at school.. the worst though was the girl called stevie... my assumption was her parents were quite taken with a certain fleetwood mac :| either way she was dubbed 'steve' from the first day of yr7 and it stuck.
I once knew a girl named pebbles, after pebbles flinstone What a classic show, keep catching repeats on UKTV
Yuri gagarin was a russian, the first man in space. Sputnik was a russian space program/space craft. Sputnik 1 being the first artificial satalite to orbit the earth.
Yea but it's still Emma though, right? Emma, Em, Emz, Emzay, Emze. Ive been through all the itterations with my sister. I used to have a girlfriend called Philippa so people called her Pippa, but being the lazy **** I was and seeing that it was one syllable too long, I called her Phil. We broke up shortly after. What about some COOL names then. Cool names that resist the test of time: that's a tough one.
