Networks NTL Digibox

    Anyone got NTL digi?

    It has a modem built in right?

    Is it posible for users with non cable modems to run there pc thru it?,

    Just a qeury

    your need a network card in your P.C. mate and a x over cable to connect to the ntl box.

    have you actually done this ?

    he's talking about the television cable box not the cable modem...

    as far as i knew they have an RJ-11 for connecting to the phone line but nothing else....

    S.T.B. (SET TOP BOX)

    On the back of the S.T.B. there is a RJ45 Connector. You need to connect this to your Network card via a x-over cable.

    There are loads of connectors on the back of those boxes, including parallel an serial sockets. I don;t think you will be able to utilise any of it without the correct software being installed on the box tho. All it seems to be is an ickle computer, should open mine up one day! :eyebrow:

    It does work !

    The guy who sits next to me in our office has done it he had a port called x-over and sure enough that , means it needs a cross over cable. See below if you guys are having problems this is a good site for reference.
