Thought I'd make a spinoff of the thread in GD for linux only - hope I'm not breaking any rules!

Here's my current desktop - gentoo + fvwm

    got it at kde-look
quite a handy background as it looks good across two monitors, even if cropped. The lower half of the image is shown when I scroll down to the lower virtual desktop ;)

This is my Gentoo laptop, with Fluxbox (style Cthulhain, changed font and -size)... (clicky for native res of 1024x768) [IMG]

    And the nightsetting (darker)

Eye candy tweaked Eterm and "forked to background" conky visual, with "custom" layout. On suggestion of OneSeventeen I emerged amarok, and damn, I must say it's nice (seen in toolbar) [all gentoo users, "emerge --unmerge xmms && emerge -v amarok].

I put something with Gentoo on it, for the sole reason of not having to tell every person that looks at my screen that I'm running Gentoo and that there is no start button... Fully custom shortkey settings, rarely have to click to get a menu, or even lift my hands of the keyboard... Short and powerfull... Me like :D

this is from around a year ago when I was running linux on my desktop (gentoo)

I'm now running gentoo on my servers, and fedora on my laptop, so I guess I'll get a screenshot of that when I get around to it

Although I'm running FreeBSD instead of Linux on any of my machines (with the exception of my IBM PS/2 which runs Debian 3.0), I hope I can post my screenshots here, too.

My main machine running FreeBSD 6.1-RELEASE-p2:

My test rig running FreeBSD 7.0-CURRENT:

Both machines run Fluxbox-devel-1.0rc2_1 with Cthulhain-Theme (custom theme is in work).

Screenshots of my other machines wouldn't be of much interest as they are CLI only :D

    Current desktop 1280*1024

Gentoo, Fluxbox, Conky and a transparent Eterm. The eagle-eyed will spot amarok and kopete running. Backdrop was done in GIMP and is set using feh.
