Cooling What cpu temp software do you use?

Just wondering what program everyone uses? I'm overclocking my system again and I've noticed that different programs give different results.

Tried Core temp and Real temp so far.
Core temp reported my q6600 hit 77 degrees. While real temp was only 63. I'm tempted to believe real temp because i'm only at 2.7ghz right now. and I've had this thing up to 3.2 stable before.

So what program do you trust?

 

i use cpu-id's HWMonitor along with CoreTemp.
i like how HWMonitor gives hdd, cpu, gpu, etc temperatures along with voltages.

Everest, with the Vista sidebar gadget. Works fine as far as I can tell.

Everest and CoreTemp gave me the same temperature, RealTemp gives me a little difference because its TJMax is set to 95 instead of q6600's 100c. manually change RealTemp made sure all my software giving me the same temperature.

im thinking about Speedfan and use this CPU Usage gadget i just found. apparently can read off Speedfan's readings.

Yes it can, I used it for a little while then decided that i don't like Sidebar that much so i just use Speedfan now.

 

For quick measurements of other people's computers, I tend to use CoreTemp. For my own system, though, I like to have SpeedFan running at all times. It's a huge pain to set up well, as it doesn't even try to guess sensor names and the labels are pretty random, but once you struggle through that and figure out what each component is, it's fantastic. It provides temperatures for CPU, GPU, hard drives, and chipset all in one place, and offers fan control as well.
