i dont want to download it if it is as i didnt get on with swat4 at all.

I just played through the demo -
It gave me goosebumps....
The graphics are very very nice. Worthy of a purchase when it hits the shelves.

 

so is it swat4 in a different guise? or is it more action based?
just to let me know before i DL it

its nothing like swat4, swat is a tactical shooter
this is doom3 but good

it looks stunning, i left it on what the game autodetected except put physics to max, so all the graphical stuff was on either max or medium i think and 1024
still got some serious paging with 1gig at times
its very good, i dont really like the weapons (burst fire with no fire select? ) but the stake thrower thingy is awesome, pinning people to walls > *

 

Parts really gave me goosebumps. This is an excellent demo.

 

Too bad the demo is so 'short' ..

And who ever says this is like doom is wrong .. this is far beyond doom. this game is developed to scare the living crap you of people, get under there skin (also a form of reality) doom is just a dark game with zombies and monsters (unrealistic) compared to fear. altho is also has a form of tactical skills involved (like swat4) but its totally different and you cant compare those games to each other...

 

omg! cait wait... saw the preoreder boxes at game stop.... hopefully my comp will run the demo smoothly :-/ downloading as we speak. if not, just an excuse to upgrade

 

just played, very cool. far better than doom3 in every way (graphics, gameplay, etc). Demanding like no other though, 1600x1200 4xAF with detected settings (mostly high) was taking my SLI system to around 25fps on average (which runs farcry 1600x1200 4xaa 8xaf or something no problem). Maybe I'll try and lose the AF as that was autodetected as well. Or get another gig of ram, which I'd like very much. I REALLY wish you could shoot out lights like in SC:CT but oh well. Looks like a very very promising game.

 

played the demo this morning.. graphics are good... hung a bit every now and then for some reason.. weapons are good intro is to long tho..
