The A Level results and Uni thread

I did that too!

 

I ********ed up a treat.

B -Electronics (Shoulda been an A)
C - Physics (Shoulda been a B)
E - Maths (Shoulda been a C)
C in Geography AS, dont care about that.

I'm so so soooo angry....still managed to get into Surrey for electronic engineering. They offered 320 points...and I got in with 260...so I don't get that...?!

 

ahh yeah right sorry, got my results last year so i had an unconditional offer and could sort out my accomodation and stuff. i'll be staying in clive booth halls.

 

A - electronics
B - maths (not bad considering i got a U in my pure 3 module)
B - physics (should of been an A i was 7 marks off)
C - General studies (who cares but even so was poor as i managed to get two U as part of the A2 course but i had an A from As)

 

business studies - A
psychology - A
Maths - A (did a year early)
further maths - B
general studies - A
History AS - A

total of 640 points, so i got into durham fine

congrats to everyone whos goin to uni

 

How did you manage that?
Surrey is one of the BEST uni's for EEng, rated 7th!
I got into Nottingham for EEng, with 280, just. (CCCc)

 

Got my results last year

Physics B
Maths B
Chemistry B
Music Tech D

But going to Uni this year after a gap year. Finally glad it has ended but still hasn't sunk in that I'm going to Uni.

I'm off to study Chemistry at the University of Birmingham! Woooo.

 

Did you end up at Staffs or not?

I got my A-Level Results last year

Graphic Design - C
Art and Design - D
Business Studies - E

My grades aren't that good because in my first year I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease and due to the symtoms I missed half the first year. Bugger.
But I did get into my first choice uni which is UCLan or University of Central Lancashire doing BSc in Business Studies. My Doctor prescribed a Gap year so I did what he said (Couldn't argue with him - )

Can't wait!!!!

 

Sorry for the double post but everytime I pressed edit on my last message it came up with error, but I just wanted to ask all the new 1st year Students going to Uni -

Have you sorted out all your stuff needed for moving in? As its not long now till moving in date and all I have sorted is my financing. What you have you been buying as I will only have about a week to buy stuff as there is not point buying French toasters etc and getting the plugs changed, warrenty's etc, so any help will be helpful!!!

 

Thanks for the reminder, I get my results this week for my second year, I'm only worried about one of the modules.

I got mine today, posted em on my blog for the world to see (link in sig, click on "moaning"), basically, 54% average, big diff compared to my first year 83% average!

I really shoulda turned upto lectures, but at least I now have a secured placement with the MoD and can relax for about 5 mins...

Friend of mine was sent a letter saying that he wouldn't be given his results until he paid a "debt" which he never had and the uni admits he never had one, so he is exceedingly pissed off.

I messed about in my A levels ( C's and D's ) so i'm glad i have worked and got a proper grade
