Project: [Ice Cold Li Project] Small update december 17th

Introduction
It all started with the purchase of a Prometeia 2GT, I had to buy a case to fit the Prom. Soon it was clear, that this should be a Lian Li PC75.
When everything was delivered, I could see the final height:

After some time the interior had to be changed. Due to the big window I needed to get rid of the cablemess and a few ccfl's and fans were placed.
Just the standard stuff:



Hardware
-AMD 64 3000+ Venice @2961mhz
-DFI Lanparty nf4 SLI-DR
-Corsair LED memory 3200XL
-X-connect 500watt psu
-1* 36GB Raptor for OS
-2* 200GB Sata for leeching
-Prometeia 2 GT
-DVD reader and writer

The modding
After seeing the mod of a famous modder in the Netherlands named Ediejo, I wanted to enlarge my prometeia, I also ordered a plexi plate for between the prom and the case, just because that gives such a great effect.

Prom enlargement
This enlargement is made out of wood, the second thing I did was placing some V2000 wheels under the case.

I placed the aluminium panels on it to see how that looks, the protectionfoil is still on it:

Time for the panels, I didn't want screws, so I attached them with magnets:

Watercooling
I've ordered this:

This wil be combined with:
-Swiftech mcp655 pump
-BIX3 radiator
-Innovatek fass-o-matic reservoir

Second computer
I want a mini-itx mobo in it with some hdd's, this would be the ''leech-pc'' for lans, there will be a ps one display in front of the case connected to the leech pc.

The plan
The plan is to fit the watercooling and the leech computer in an extra compartment on top of the case. That's why I bought a second hand Lian Li PC75 to make this compartment, I've made a design in sketchup:

im pretty sure you could get your cpu higher than that my friend had his 3000+ stable at 2.7 with watercooling and this is wayyy colder Looks very nice though

 

if its a 3000+ i doubt it. not unless hes running dividers =/

forgotten what the multi is but i no its locked., but if its 9x i presume his running dividers

if its 10x then his ram might just do 292fsb, but iv never seen the corsair xl get into them figures. any way looks nice did u extend the vapochill side panels to to same lenght as the pc-70?

 

I did, altough it isn't a vapochill, but a prometeia.

I'm running dividers, and my cpu is 9*329fsb

Just bought some wood to make a transportcase for the Lian Li.
I have some lanparties in a few weeks, and I don't want to damage it.
I did make it big enough to fit the upper compartment too, when it's ready.
Case will be 115cm high

Also bought some wheels for it, there will be a lot of handles on the case too.



ps. Argh! They only had 3 wheels with brake, so one is brake-less

Yup, don't have an other pc

 

hosting the lan to me seems easier than moving the envisioned beast. But great idea how tall will the final heght be

 

lol hahhaahhaahahah i love it! so tall it starts to get scary

 

LOL, final height will be 114cm, but I don't know how much that is in inches!

It's about 44,9 Inch.

It's huge! Why are you trying to make a ediejo case replica like one? Wasn't it more cool to think of a new more revolutionair idea, and a more unique design?
