yah it think its a fake bid, everyonce in awhile someone bids a ludicrous amount just to either a) win the bid no matter what and forget about it (doubting anyone would bid that high) or b) just bids that high to be stupid. If A. happens twice then it goes to an insane price and if B. happens once it can goto an insane price, I doubt anyone would consider that xbox worth THAT much
The week it was released, there were MANY systems running that high. Some of the sellers included high-def TVs because the price was just THAT high.

Also, you can see it's an external laptop drive in a caddy, just 'cabled-on' over USB. Easily removed and stuck on your PC to fill it with all your *cough* legit content, so you don't have to re-rip every CD in your collection like you'd have to for the internal drive.
