Apple Can a mac person please help me?

I am after a 1280*1024 screen shot of your desk top, preferable tiger, but any OSX would do...

Want to fool some mates with my windows desk top...

 

Oh umm ****, can I get it non-compressed to? If you need an FTP to upload it to I can get one for you...

I cant give you a screenshot at that resolution as my Cube is in pieces and iBook only supports 1024x768. I can however send you the background and a screenshot which you can Photoshop if you like. I really recommend buying a Mac though. That way you get to "fool" your friend and get a decent computer.

 

Oh.. I used to be a Mac man guys but I got away from them...

Gaming was pitful and everything was to expensive/hard to find...

I would like to get one of those blue/orange iBooks, always had a soft spot for them...

I can give you one at 1440x960, then you can scale it down. Dyou want anything open etc?

What format DO you want it in? If not JPEG..
And what would you like it have visable in that image?
The dock? top bar? finder? iCal? ...

The background image is a jpeg anyway, converting that to a non-compressed format won't help at all...

 

Oh just the little dock thing down the bottom open and a few things on the desktop that makes it look like it is used.

JPEG is okay but it has to be on the better image quality, but the equivilent of bitmap would be good...

Oh and try not to get the mouse on the screen....

But converting it into a jpeg makes it twice as bad.

Go and try it, get a jpeg then take a screen shot and save it as a jpeg twice. You will see what I mean.

 

Arn't you going to have to convert it to JPEG to set it as a background? I would do it but by ibook can't do higher than 1028

 

Nope, can load what ever format I want as a background.

Be proud, I actually deleted a whole load of crap off my desktop, unmounted my iPod and changed my resolution down to 1280x1024 just for that.

 

Just set that as my HTPC screensaver, cheers Sam0r

 

Its not exactly a screensaver....

 

It's a TFT, screensavers are just for amusement these days.
