Saw these a while ago, but they don't have them at my local RC-dealers. Would love to try one of these. Wonder how much these cost or how long they last..

The AirHogs model is $80 from Toys R Us online...

The only UK price I've found so far is Gratton...£129.99 :sigh:

looks easy enough to make actually...

I was making all sorts of planes and boats about 5 years ago. I only had the one set of radio equipment so they tended to get recycled a lot though.

All you need is some high density polystyrene and balsa wood... Mebe not the toughest thing in the world, but easy to fix.

They do say that the hydrofoam planes arent the easiest to fly and should not be seen as beginner planes..

@will.: Would be cool if you made one.. the turning mechanism are flaps are the back.. they are pulled by a string attached to a servo.. try it out.. wouldnt be a heavy investment to buy anyways.. there is a kit on ebay that a guy makes.. he sells it for 30$ i think.. thats only with the construction though.. no radio, motor, ect. Ill find the link if you want

yea was looking at the vid again.. Looks really simple. I am also guessing that the prop speed is also used to turn. Bit like a tank.

I'm too busy rite now, but if i got some time and a lot of wet, stay-inside weather it may happen.

Yep exactly, I started off with a high winged cessna trainer and found that realy difficuly to fly. I reckon these would be a nightmare for the beginner.

Any good quality rc will cost as much as a budget based good computer. I have 2 coming in at a grand total of around $3000
