Ok. So I finished my 3 year college in June, but had to 'redo' my thesis over the summer. Well not really 'redo' but they didn't think it was long enough, so I had to extend it over the summer. On feedbackday I got a schedule wich has the thesis presentation on it for the 5th september. Now we have our own school emailsystem, wich only offers a webmail function, no POP3 or anything. So offcours, since I only get to use that emailadres for 3 years, I barely use it at all. And offcours an email was sent to that emailadres with the date of entry (wich I thought was the fifth september). So today I find out it is actually the 25th august (in 2 weeks!). And I have yet to start on it! I'm normally never stressed about anything but I really hate myself atm for not checking that damn emailadres earlier. So now I have two weeks to write everything, put in indesign, have it corrected AND get it printed. Needless to say I'm rather pissed off atm. So I'm gonna try and get some sleep and start right in tomorrow morning at 8am! Wish me luck. (I need to pass this to graduate, I got a 7/20 before) L PS: I have been working on it for the last 10 days, but haven't got much done at all.. just don't feel motivated.. but now I'm just overly stressed. I hope it cools down by tomorrow and leaves a huge pile of motivation.
Good luck mate, I know the feeling, at some point in our 5th form (thats GCSE year) we had literally 6-7 pieces of coursework all due in at some point in the next month. Needless to say, I was working the moment I got home to the moment I fell asleep. Not a nice feeling, so I wish you all the luck
Good luck to you. If you are feeling unmotivated, you could try to talk about it. Bounce a few facts about it and see if anyone could offer some questions and comments to help you look at things in another light.
Even if you thought it was the 5th of September, weren't you cutting it a bit close? Still, if it is any consolation, you may find that you do your best work under pressure.
Good luck with it, and make sure you take enough breaks - you can't work solid for hours on end at maximum, red-hot pace, it just doesn't work.
and when you have a break have a proper break... Theres no point bumming about doing very little work for a whole day, your better off going out for an hour here and there and concentrating while you are working...
Update! (If anybody would care) I finished the thesis in time (entered it a few weeks ago) Yesterday I had to do a presentation about it and the jury got to ask my questions etc.. well all went great and I passed! Don't know how much I got, but I passed so this means that I'm graduating! WOOOOOHOOOOOW WOWOOWOWOWOW HOOOOWOWOWOWOWO ! To celibrate I'm leaving on wednesday with a few friends to go backpacking true france (ardeche and nimes) for 15 days! wooohoow! Just thought I'd share the fantastic news (for me)!
