This is the best mod I have seen in some time. Nice work I wish I had your talent on the equipment you use.
As we have seen earlier, he will probably use another PSU. In these pics (post 1242): He has a black PSU with PREsleeved ATX cable while here: He probably uses a temporary PSU just for testing the lighting and cooling... I think and hope he uses another because the final one is - UNDER CONSTRUCTION - . His mod is very "open" and I don't think he will finish this kind of quality mod with a mosh bundle of loose cables inside that will even be visible from the outside! I'm praying _/-\o_ for new updates soon!!
Wondefull work. The reason for my registration to this forum is 100% this thread.. (I'll cruise around to see another threads ) Your work is flawless.. although, my suggestion is to eliminate the led on the fan (that is inside).. for my opinion it will improve the apperence by much. (the fan ruins the total look, there are many colors and then the fan just ruins it - because the fan is behind the grill and the blue color is kinda blurd). Once more, The work is magnificent!. P.S Are you doing something with the wires?
Thanks all guys. I project and constructed a piece of Dark Blade when I have the inspiration. The plan is only in my mind. About the panels, those are the inside panels but the external panels are slide in the columns of the case. Look the slit in upper-right of the columns image. Z O O M ! Only for the tests I use a "basic" and economic PSU. It's all right! Bye
All the pieces are not polished. The surface of the parts will be improved in the anodization phases, the final phase. The inside fan leds is necessary for the blue illumination. When I push the light button on the frontal panel, I turn off all green lights. Look this! Thanks!
started reading this thread an hour and a half ago... my eyes are starting to hurt of all the beauty that flew by in this thread defenately subscribing, hope there will by many more updates... 79 pages full of updates and amazement of other modders, and likely many more to come, nice work G69T
Beautiful work as always, I know that there are a few people that have signed up at Bit-tech just for this mod, and that is how I got here. You are an inspiration to us all. Keep it up
What about the blue led when it's green..? And, I just like that the inside of the case is totaly black and only the outside has colors.. By the photo with the bike, when the case is green (and probably when blue as well), it is just stuck there kinda ruining (by my opinion). but, that's my opinios.. and your opinions are most probably diffrent than keep on the good work.
WOW G69T all I have to say is this is the best case design I have seen on the internet. You have inspired me to start my own project. With my thermal take armor case and a 1.7 Cub foot Wine fridge. Thanks for this project it is very cool. You definitely got me to register on this form.
I wish I had the equipment you had access to. I would make myself a pretty awsome case in its own respect. But for now I will just have to oogle over your amazing CNC programing skills. But normal PC components won't do this case justice. I recommend a custom box for the pc. Make yoru own box not the one that comes with it. And may I suggest some sort of armor wire for sleeving? Brushed?
Thanks guys! Update - Anodized internal parts and support of the electrical components. Some images of the support system and all the anodized pieces assembled of the case. Z O O M ! Z O O M ! Z O O M ! Z O O M ! Z O O M ! Z O O M ! Z O O M !
...and now, the photos of the illuminated and not illuminated case and some details. Z O O M ! Z O O M ! Z O O M ! Z O O M ! Z O O M ! See you soon! Bye bye #edit# Thank you, LuitvD
Ah, now I see why your shots look so nice I see taking pictures is a hobby of yours too (seeing that in that fact that you have a DSC-R1 nice camera) Nice photographing, looks so absolutely clean, almost surreal because of the too fine cuts
The most awesome bit of modding I have ever seen! Probably my favorite case besides Orac^3, but thats appels to oranges seeing as that was an all acrylic case.
Beautiful my friend, all the light complement each other nicely. Is the top of the case where the 4" CCFL be left exposed like that? Angain, beautiful G69T.
I find the white wires on top to be highly out of place, kinda breaks the whole smoothness of the case in my opinion. There's no way you can re-router somehow? Or at least paint them black? White on black makes them stand out quite a bit and they're distracting.
