Seriously, can you imagine it. That would be awesome. "This is the reactor, this is the enrichment plant..." Then can you imagine trying to get into the US with an Iranian stamp on your passport?? Welcome to Mr. Rubber Finger, and we're awl outa looob.
Wasn't one of the US's arguments that the whole program wasn't independently monitored? (who monitors all of their nuclear program?) Obviously this falls short of full UN monitoring but it is an interesting move. It would be cool to go visit, I'm sure we went to a nuclear plant for a field trip in A Level physics
And of course, with all those foriegn tourists milling around the sites, there's less likely to be any sort of strike on the plants... Or am I just being cynical?
Where can I book ticket? Sun, sea and uranium enrichment makes for a good holiday in the land of love and sunkissed desets.
Not at all. But I suspect that the main motivation is political, to show they have nothing to hide. The US could very easily send some of their experts as "tourists" to check out the plant now, and it is going to be harder for them to argue hidden agendas.
It still is what the US is shoving, and it's a load of bull. Iran has fully complied with all regulations & beyond even. (last time I read anyway, not sure if things have now changed) Would be seriously awesome to visit a nuclear plant though
It is always pretty hard to prove the absence of something. At least it is a welcome change from how Israel chooses to manage their nuclear programme.
A strike would most likely come during the middle of the night. Agreed. Even if experts pose as tourists, they're not going to be given access to everyplace of interest. This is quite a bizzare move though.
i would love to visit one me wants power!!!!! for my octo sli setup!!!! hehehe if it is peacefull then let them get the power, if they want weapons, then scr* them.
