I just ordered some of the chrome expandable sleeving from that site, I'll let you guys know how it works.
it works good, just watch out for snaggies since the weave has thin fibers (like tinsel, but thicker). Also you'll find that chrome is actually more tubualr compared to silver which is rolled flat on a spool.....
On wirecare they can round the flatter kinds for a little bit extra per foot (10 cents maybe?) I got some on my smaller sleeving I ordered from them, so we'll see how it turns out
Re: Re: Re: Re: Cable Brading Bump'n'Quote: Oclocker - are you recieving me? I'd like to buy some braid!! [EDIT] - YGM, OC....
1/4in is alright, with 3/8in heatshrink, BUT this is sort of small, it looks like on the antec fan they used 1/4in stuff -- if you use 1/4in on your power cables, the color of the wires inside will show out, you have to leave it expanded (if that makes sense) I'd suggest maybe buying 3/8inch stuff, with 1/2 in heatshrink maybe, it would be a little bigger, and would be a more solid color (solid black instead of "expanded" black) Make sense? I can post some scans of what it looks like, I have the black Flexo Pet in 1/8in and 1/4in from the wirecare.com site, as well as some 3/8in heatshrink (damn, i forgot to get the smaller heatshrink for 1/8in!)
Note to self... 2 pages mean that responding to the conversation on page 1 will most likely confuse everybody else pay no attention to this post *waves hand in jedi-like fashion*
www.frozencpu.com also sells the braided wire loom if you are looking for a site in the US that sells it.
egad, frozencpu sells it for 2.50 a foot.... wow wirecare.com much better deal IMO Check out the "flexo wrap", I didn't know what this was, but apparently its expandable sleeving w/some velcro-like edges split down the edge, so you can wrap it around cables, like the ATX cables, wish i had ordered some now :/ that split-loom over my ATX cable with everything else sleeved looks so lonely here's the link for it
yes - sorry very busy _ need to reorganise me business to get moe time - but no time for tahts cos too busy Just email me oclocker@baybus.co.uk - but need to know what size cables etc..
Actually you are quite incorrect. 1/8" is the size used on antec fans, and my braiding that I am selling does not show cables even when fully expanded....1/4" is plenty for the 4 wire molex and can even take the 6 wire AUX connectors with no problems. 1/2" heatshrink is WAY too big for anything other than Midi or serial ribbon cables and you can even use 1/4" on 40 pin ide cables and still habe no wire showing. Not to be an asshat but trust me, I have used this stuff quite extensively and in much more sizes/applications than you.
