As of late I have been using my dual 19's for school. Keep MS word on the right where i can ready Use Cases and Visio open on the left so I can draw up DFD's. In addition when im not working on school projects I like to keep iTunes and Windows Media Player on the right side while i have firefox and AIM on the left monitor. If im screwing around with photoshop then ill use both monitors and just move differnt photo's all over the place. welcome to dual heaven =)
At work: 2 x 17" Dell* on an nVidia card; 1xD-Sub 1xDVI At home: 2 x 17" LG L1710b(U) on a 256MB nVidia 6600GT dual-DVI * unsure of exact model, currently at home All calibrated with a Grecon MacBeth profiler.
i tend to stretch my work across both monitors and 4 virtual desktops. there's no one app that's guaranteed to be in one place at one time, everything just kind of moves around to be where it's most convenient at that instant.
one monitor for msn, one for general web stuff, and one for winamp. And 3 more for just looking cool (just running 3 now, as all the monitors took up way to much deskspace. i have one on my server, though. At work i have one for a VTS client, and the other for startmenu, outlook and so on. Laptops suck... I want 3 monitors at work aswell (where i actually need it!)
