I've chosen Akasa because that is what I currently have. It has done a stirling job, I cannot comment on other brands as I have only had generic AOpens before hand, also pretty good, much more solid than the other free ones.

I've gone for Seasonic as it the only none generic power supply i've had.

I can't fault it, it's so quiet the first time I turned it on I wasn't actully sure it was on. It feels well built too.

I voter Hiper, but I'm after more a PCP&C at this point, so I can power more heavy-duty stuff...

Running OCZ (420w + 520w) & Tagan (TG580) at the mo and love all of em. The OCZ's are awsome supplies, really handle heavy loads well.
Next unit will be an 850w Silverstone however, seem to be getting pretty decent reviews and don't seem hugely overpriced

Sorry, im after a PSU, but i dont want people to recomend a specific brand etc, i would get confused with millions of recomendations, so its simpler to find out what brand people are happier with, a Poll was the logical answer, if someone wants to close it then so be it, but otherwise please continue

I'm happy with Tagan. Solid as a rock, reliable and 3 year warranty.

    same here on Tagan supplies

i had a 480 u01 for about 1 year which is a great psu not had a problem other than the *tick* *tick* noise when the pc is off which i understand is a common complaint and easily fixable but i cant be arsed

also have a new modular which i found very easy to install and use and quite happily surprised how many different cables i got with it.

i think i will stay using tagan for the forseeable future.

Very hard to select a choice here, Corsair are the same as Seasonic. Same things. Right now I'd go corsair but basicly if I could I'd select both.

Runner up would be Antec who've served me well over the years.

It compltely depends on the type of PC as well. I have a soft spot for PCP&C myself but they certainly aren't suitable for all cases. IMO, Seasonic would be your best bet for anything other than a rig with particularly high power draw.

Ultra PSUs. I have had one in my main rig for about a year, and I am putting another in my LAN rig that I am building. Their modular PSUs kick butt in my opinion

Voted Corsair, seen one in action. I don't say "heard in action" because it was dead silent, yet still very strong/stable
