If you can afford it, treat yourself to the 24" Dell 2407WFP, for 1080p goodness from your 360

I have found that since changing from 1080i/720p over component to 1920x1080 over VGA on my 360 and 2405 combo, it all looks one hell of a lot nicer.

^ Isn't that mostly because the 2405 is bad with component in?

Component on the 360 only displays upto 1080i anyways, to get 1080p you need the VGA. And yes theres is some difference.

I thought component was perfectly fine for 1080p?

Everyone that I've spoken to has gotten out of range errors over component.

Weird because the VGA works fine.

I'll put it in the right thread this time XD

I apologise for the crappy camera phone pic (and the mess:p), it's all I've got.

I have two 19" monitors there, that have unfortunately got a bit busted in transit, it used to be that my xbox and PC were connected to my secondary monitor and I used a VGA switcher box to flick between the two signals. However, me and the gf got annoyed with watching on demand TV on a monitor so my secondary monitor is now the crappy TV I have next to my desk.

You actually use your textbooks? I thought they were just a way to waste your money.

Cheers, the desks pretty big, but no-where near as big as the one I had back in my dorm. Believe it or not, but my uni dorm room in the first year was actually bigger than my room I have at home (and the one I have currently). I did have to sacrifice a few limbs to pay for it though.

I've been wanting to replace one of those monitors (ideally both :p) with a Dell 2407 for ages now, and I might finally be able to do it soon :D

Well... the thing with this establishment is that you're kind of left to figure things out on your own. The textbooks are really useful as a lot of the questions we have to do aren't covered in the lecture notes
