Awesome setup that Gordy  You're a very talented man

I particularly like that computer chair you made :hip: So much so in fact, that I fancy one meself now :D
But sod paying the full asking price for the 'Deluxe' model - £337.58 including delivery (from Rally Office Chairs) :eeek: )

I've found a fairly local car store (Northwich) which sells the standard Clubman car seat though, but I'd obviously need to 'adapt' for use as a computer chair.
Do you have any idea where I could get a base for it?

I don't want to butcher the leather computer chair I'm using just now for the castors etc - 'coz it would be passed on to one or other of my sons, once I had my new one built.
I would do, if there was no other option... but I don't particularly want to buy a new computer chair, just to then hack it apart for the bits I'd need to adapt the Clubman bucket seat :eyebrow:

Can you offer any advice on where to look for the parts I'd need? TIA :thumb:

Hi I posted a couple of days ago how I made the chair, I basically used my existing base for it. As the leather was wearing out.

With all due respect Gordy... I wasn't asking how you made the chair? I read your 'build' post ;)

I'm asking if you might know any places where I might be able to pick up a base - specifically because I don't want to use the base off the chair I'm using just now

Since you've done so many different mods over the years, I just thought you may have a few contacts/sources of such things?

Goto a tip, find an old office chair from there, what Gordy did with his old base is what I'll be doing with mine

No idea where you'd get a base from as I didn't have to. I'd just buy a cheap chair if you don't want to use your current one.

surround sound is too much wires for me...
Good old 2.1 sound system is the best choice for me.... Logitech Z3e (Black and silver), simply part of my world domination plan.... ok, maybe not.

You sir are the winner! ive taped over the on switch AND the full display. All the lights/LED's in my room have black tape over them due to the light it causes and so i cant get to sleep, the only light on im my room is my clock.

Yeah they are nice units and mines going strong after 5years of service, i hardly use the CD player, all i use it for is the radio.

I originally had 5.1's in the room but after so much clutter and mainly using headphones i took them down and sold them on and got myself these 2.1's. much better for music and general usage.
