I like the bike tire.:D I would have went with something more solid like washer drain hose. That way if you accidentally drop the case the drive won't hit the walls. (I'm clumsy.)

    @all thx!

    @cheapskate
im thinking of folding tire so it has 2 layers... it may be firmer on screw hole... also im gona put some dumpening materials inside box, so all inner sides will be soft...

    Hi all!

I found nice donor for the mobo holder. It was in some old dtk brand pc. It is removable. Thx to my friends Laci and Miro 4 the donation!!!

    I bought 2 handles for furniture - metal, 3 EUR 4 both.

    In their place...

I put the rest of Hdd holders. I figured that i can adjust height of Hdd by rotating holders - useful 4 finetuning sapace bettween hdds - for beter airflow.

Thats all. Srry, not big update i know, but im very busy with my job atm...
    Bye!

    Hola..

I started with screwing hdd box on the rest of construction...

Then i cut mobo holder to fit.

Creating space under mobo holder for cable hiding...

Its easy to work with wood. U just screw directly wherever u need.

Example of cable paths... Under mobo holder to bottom

for the end... pic of case and its progress...

    cu soon bye!!!!

    love the case!

the hanging HD is wicked cool... I'm not brave enough to do something like that.
I'd be scared that the HD's momentum would cause it to shake to much and rattle something loose.

Good luck! Can't wait to see more.

as for hdd - let it suffer!!! It can scream, but nobody will hear it :D cos its well isolated :p

If an HDD screams in the cabinet and no one hears, does it still make a sound?
    Heavy plagiarism here.

Ok this is the plan to make round corners:

I will cut this plastic tube into quarters, then put some plastic wrap on it. then ill fill it with car body filler. when it drys i'll take it out and screw it on corners...

I need ur input cos i never worked with car body filler. Is this possible? will it break or can i go as i planed?

    Thx on ur info infront!!!

That's pretty cool! I'm not really a fan of wodden cases, but this looks really nice! :thumb:

I've worked a little with bondo, but only on cars... I don't think it will hold the stress ... But how about casting some pieces of tube in to it, and use those for mounting screws through? That might work, if you don't tighten them too hard!
But I really like the look of the corners as is... :)
