It's warm. It's Cold. Does it matter? You still have work to go to, still have bills to pay, still have food to buy, still have a crack habit to fund.. Aherm..
I hate having to wear jackets and gloves. I hate having a runny nose every time i step outside into the cold. I hate wind and rain. Winter sucks with it's paltry 7-8 hours of "daylight". Besides, the warmer months are brighter, and sunlight provides us with vitamin D which is necessary for bones, muscles and the immune system. It also does crazy things to the brain to make it release mood enhancing chemicals, so it makes us feel good too. So in summary, yeah, it does matter. It's far nicer to be out in tshirt and shorts...
You are paid to do a job, do you really think that the people that pay your wage give a toss about how you feel? 'Coz they don't where I work! If they do, are they taking on any new staff?
I hate having to remove wet sticky bits of clothing because it's too hot. I have getting sunburnt. I hate the still air and humid atmosphere. Summer sucks with it's insane temperatures, everywhere is busy and the whole season is uncomfortable. Winter has Christmas, Christmas is fun.
What a ponce! Cold weather != Runny nose. <exasperated>Honestly!</exasperated>. Virus = runny nose. OK, fair enough. There *is* something about sunshine that lightens the mood. Indeed, there is nothing worse than hot, sweaty bollocks. I think I've seen *that* film. Use sunblock. Yeah... 19C and it's pissing it down in July... Those 25C temps in May are long since forgotten! Fair point - I hate tourists. Too true. Even though I'm sad enough to only live it through my children. But I'd rather have a BBQ in the garden than marshmellows by an open fire. Summer rules - even if I am sweating my bollocks off in the office.
BBQ! If it's nice on Friday I'll set one up, wohoo! http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/5day.shtml?id=1879 Looks like Saturday then, heh.
Wrong, if the humidity in the air is low enough, your eyes will tear and then the tears will go into the tear duct and then, through no virus' fault, you have a runny nose. And please do not tell me about cold, -30 C is normal here in the winter. Sorry if that was a tad blunt, I'm kind of impatient as tests are this week. Winter Cheesecake!
It's a shame that the gym has buckets all over the place from leaky AC units last night lol not complaining though...as The Todd would say "I got my sweat on" Hope it's like this at the weekend, perfect for giving the car a wax, nice warm panels and direct sunlight.
my idea of perfect weather at the moment, hot enough for a tshirt and to feel warm and not so hot i get burnt and get headaches
Monday's Summer-ready Purchases: £80 Argos Gas BBQ :£15 from North Weald Market (yay for bashed up boxes!) 15Kg Propane for said BBQ: £53 Burgers/Sausages/BOOZE: £55 Owwww...
Aye! Tis cheating! Get a barrel, hack it in half, make a chicken wire grill and fill the thing with coal. BBQ! (might want to leave it burning for a bit before adding food though. You never know what's been in those barrels )
At least you can easily do something about your temperature in winter. And in the summer, my nose gets blocked even more than usual which is pretty miserable. Winter Cheesecake!
Yeas please. And some of the food. And some Vinho Verde. And some Aguardente. And some bikas (lots of bikas). In fact, the whole culture. And the women. God, Portugese women... I'm married, so I could not possibly comment.
